Mack Leeward Hill, 90, of Danville, WV passed from this world on June 19, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hallie M. Hill and Lillie Fay Davis Hill of Danville.
He was a coal miner for 35 years working for Koppers, Eastern Gas and Fuel and Peabody Coal. He was a member of the UMWA.
Mack is survived two brothers, James Otho Hill (Jane) of Charleston and Hallie Bruce Hill (Ruth Ann) of Stone Mountain, GA; nieces, Deborah Jane McClure (Jeff) of Cross Lanes, Amy Hill Fletcher (Tim) of Atlanta, GA, Sarah Hill Anderson (Clif) of Fayetteville, AR and Jennifer Leah Hill of Atlanta, GA; nephews, John Christopher Hill (JoLynn) of Hillsborough, NC, James Kevin Hill (Barbara) of Simpsonville, SC; six great nieces; and three great nephews.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 23 at Perdue Cemetery, Foster with the Rev. Johnny Barker officiating.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the caregivers at Dunbar Care Center who took such wonderful care of Mack.
