Madge Irene Meadows

Madge Irene Meadows, 96, of Bloomingrose passed from this life on Sunday, April 9, 2017 while surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford M. Meadows, her parents, Hubert and Goldie Cadle, and her sister, Charlotte Fauber.
She is survived by daughters, Pamela Meadows Waldorf and husband, Michael and Paula Meadows all of Bloomingrose; granddaughter, Laura Waldorf Dow and husband, Jeremiah of Charleston; great-grandchildren, Connor and Amelia Dow; nieces, Sue Wood of Marmet and Kay Stone and husband, Don, of Raleigh, NC; great-nephews, Scott Wood and wife, Denise, of Charleston and Greg Stone and wife, Stephanie, of Garner, NC; great-nieces, Regina Stone Heath and husband, Nick, of Raleigh, NC and Sara Wood of Marmet; great-great nieces /nephews, Ashley Wood of Huntington, Miranda Stone of Garner, NC, Joshua Stone of Raleigh, NC, Phillip Stone and Juliet Stone of Garner, NC and special great-great nieces and BBFs (Bub’s Best Friends) Meghan and Madison Wood of Marmet.
Known to family members as “Bub” (a nickname given to her by her sister), Madge was a long standing member of the Bloomingrose Church of Christ where she was a former Sunday school and VBS teacher. In addition, she was an active member of the Racine WV Community Educational Outreach Service (WVCEOS) and was an avid Girl Scout leader for many years.
Services will be held at 1:00 on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the Bloomingrose Church of Christ, Bloomingrose with Minister John Duty officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas.
