Marlin L. Harless

Marlin L. Harless, 80, of Bim went to be with the Lord on August 15, 2014 after a long illness, surrounded by his family.
He was born the son of late Ewell and Lorna (Green) Harless on April 28, 1934 at Bim, WV. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Delcia Harless, Ernie White and Eliza Johnson; brothers, Ewell Junior and Dalton Harless; and great-grandson, Herbert Ray Price III.
He served as a staff sergeant in the Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was retired from Harris #2 mine as an electrician and fire boss and was a member of the UMWA. He was a member of the Church of Christ and served the Lord as a minister for 60 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years eight months, Virginia (Pittman) Harless; children, Marlin Wayne (Mary Brock) and daughter Lauren Harless of Zionsville, Ill, Rebecca (Donnie) Vint of Clinton Camp and their daughter, Sandra (Vint) Price Deck and sons, Drew Price and Jonathan Deck of James Creek, their daughter, Nancy (Vint) Kuhn Williams and husband Bo Williams and daughter, Frankie Kuhn of Barrett and their daughter Kiersten Vint of Clinton Camp, daughter, Wanda (Ezra) Kidd of Madison, son, Johnathan (fiance’ Karyn Little of Olympia, WA) his son, Conner and daughter Kimberly Harless of Shelton, WA; sisters, Rushia Gibson of Camp Creek, Jean Harless of Camp Creek, Deloris Jones and Katrina Scott of Vanceburg, KY; and brother, Levi Harless of Griffithsville, WV.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 17 at Family Gardens, Madison with Jonathan Harless officiating with military graveside rights performed by Daniel Boone VFW Post 5578 Madison, WV.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Handley Funeral Home, Danville.
