Mary Ellen Kirk

Mary Ellen Kirk, 69, of Ridgeview went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 19, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jack Kirk; her mother and step-father, Julia and Kinner Jarrell; father and step-mother, Bill and Mary Ward; granddaughter, Tara Lynn Smith; and three great-grandchildren, Hope and Faith Davis, and Jaycee.
She leaves behind six sons and one daughter, Jackie of Ridgeview, Ronnie of Alkol, Kathy (Todd) of Charleston, Bill of Clay, Joey (Mary) of Ridgeview, Tony of Ridgeview, and Michael (Dianna) of Seth; two brothers, Charles and Billy; her dog, Bubba of Ridgeview; special and helpful friend, Gene Pruitt; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Camp Creek Holiness Church. She was a homemaker and mother to all who came. Everyone was welcome to a bed, a meal, or just anything anyone needed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mary Ellens honor at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2019 at Barker Cemetery, Ashford with James Perez and Stevie Cox officiating.
Handley Funeral Home in Danville is assisting the family.
