Mary Kaye Wright, 71, of Van passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer peacefully at her daughter’s home.
She was born March 10, 1946 to the late Aubrey and Mae Dolin of Danville, WV. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by Tommy “Panic” Wright, father of her children; and her brother, Tommy Dolin of Danville, WV.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Jody Wright of Van, WV and daughter, Wendy (Justin) Turner of Madison, WV. She is also survived by sister, Nancy Madden of Kettering, OH and sister-in-law Betty Dolin of Danville, WV. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was a loving mother, daughter, aunt and grandmother. She was an excellent caregiver to her late mother in which she dedicated her endless love and support. She had a passion for reading and loved spending time with her grandchildren and her cousin and best friend, Linda Grey. She will be remembered for her smile and kind heart.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to dignity hospice of Chapmanville, WV for their support, compassion and care for Mary during recent months. A special thank you to Felicia Jackson, Emelia Spencer and Ashley Adkins for their love an acts of kindness.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Dignity Hospice 557 Main Street Chapmanville WV 25508.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 4 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Steve Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Mid-Ferrell Cemetery, Bandytown.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
