Matthew Scott “Twinkie” Branam of Branchland, born January 13, 1990, made his peace with God and went to be with his Holy Father on January 15, 2018, after a long illness, at the age of twenty-eight years old.
He was preceded in death by his father Orville Branam; grandparents, Mamaw Eva Dean Adkins, Papaw & Mamaw Arthur & Evelyn Branam; uncle Joel Adkins; friends, Bobby Joe Parsons and Justin Edwards.
Scott attended Guyan Valley High School and Lincoln County High School. He was a former Postmaster at Midkiff Post Office.
He is survived by his mother, Ramona Adkins Branam; his wife, Jamie Cummings Branam; their special little daughter, Aeriana she loved her “Da” so much; beloved Husky Layla; Grandparents, Papaw Adkins andGranny Doyle; Aunts and Uncles, Cathy Adkins, Linda and Buddy Vance, Diane and Doug Hall, Kim and Paul Moore, Betty and Will Porter, Charlotte and Tom Frye, and Jack Midkiff; Great Aunt, Ruby Graham; Great Uncle George Adkins; Best friend/Brother/Cousin, Christopher Adkins; best friends, Kevin Johnson who was like a brother and uncle to his son, Brody; Dustin Stevens and a host of cousins, family and friends that will miss him.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday January 19, 2018 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV with Danny Dailey and Lee Fraley officiating. The interment will follow in the Midkiff Cemetery, Branchland, WV. A visitation will be from 6pm to 8pn Thursday at the funeral home. Mama will always love you.
Pallbearers will be his friends, Christopher Adkins, Kevin Johnson, Howie Dyer, Dustin Stevens, Gator Dalton, Shawn Flowers, Donevon Cummings, Joey Ball.
