Maurice Lee Jones

Maurice Lee Jones, 87, of Danville, WV closed his eyes in death only to open them in Heaven on January 5, 2014.
He was born April 5, 1926 and was a son of the late Norman L. and Nettie P. Lewis Jones. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Ilene Miller Jones; and his second wife, Ann P. Miller Jones.
He was a retired brakeman from CSX Rail Road.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathy (John) Nester of Danville; stepsons , Robert (Jackie) Miller of Rock Creek and Curtis (Patty) Miller of White House, Tennessee; two grandchildren, John Sherman Nester of Moundsville, WV, Rachel Ilene (Ron) Howard of Lindytown, WV; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Joel Jay Jones and Janet of Amissville, VA, Norman Lewis Jones and Nancy of Princeton, WV and Marty Jones and Darlene of West Madison, WV.
A special thanks to Hospice, the staff and doctors at Boone Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Danville.
A graveside service was held January 10, 2014 at Memory Gardens, Low Gap with the Rev. Terry Walker officiating.
