Maycel Marie Webb, 88, of Gordon, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 after a short illness.
Maycel was an inspiration to everyone she met. Her smile would light up a room and her quick wit and unique sense of humor were constant entertainment to those around her. She was a member of the Gordon Union Church where she attended since she was a little girl, and she loved to travel with her family.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, Rev. Marvin L. Kuhn and Spicy Eldora Loftis Kuhn; her husband of 51 years, Bobbie Webb; and eldest son, Lovell McKinley Webb.
She is survived by daughter-in-law, Jacquelin Webb of Charleston; son, Daniel and Judy Webb of Gordon; son, Jackson and Brenda Webb of Wharton; son, Johnson and Brenda Webb of Ypsilanti, MI; daughter, Judy and Earl Gunnoe of Gordon and daughter, Nona and David Wilcox of Gordon; grandchildren, Daniel and Betsy Webb, Kevin and Kimberly Meadows, Kenzie Webb, Anthony Webb, Christopher Webb, Timothy Webb, Angela Denise Webb, Johnny Webb, Jeffrey Gunnoe, and Jessica Wilcox; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Webb, Becca Meadows, Shiloh Webb, Robert Webb, Jasper Webb, John McKinley Webb, Brandon Webb. She is also survived by her favorite soldier, Nicholas Reed Darnell.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, November 24th. at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Arnold Price, the Rev. Johnny Barker and the Rev. Matthew Johner officiating. Burial will be in Family Memorial Garden, Low Gap, WV.
Visitation will be from 12:30 pm Saturday until service time at the funeral home.
