Melba Gay Stewart

Melba Gay Bradley Stewart, 78, of Sandlick Road, Seth, WV formerly of Prenter passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at her home. She was born May 17, 1938 and was a daughter of the late Hansford and Laura Pearl Jarrell-Canterbury Bradley. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Kathy Gwenn Thompson; brother, Ellis Lee Bradley; sister, Francis Marie Bradley; and brothers, Charles and Willard Canterbury.

She was a homemaker. She loved to rock babies and loved flowers. She was a friend to all.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry A. Stewart; daughters, Rebecca Butcher (James) and Maria Lambert (Ralph); grandchildren, Stacy Mullins (Adrian) of Rand; Jeremy Lambert of Seth, Jamie Butcher (Heather) of Seth and Marty Butcher (Carrie) of Nellis; great-grandchildren, Easton and Trent Butcher, Hayden Butcher, Alyssa and Lil’ Jeremy Lambert and Jacob and Joseph Deal; one brother, David Bradley of Prenter; and a whole host of nieces, nephews and friend
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 29 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville. Burial will follow in Family Gardens, Madison. Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until service time.
