Melvin Ray Moore, 73, of Danville passed away May 4, 2017 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
He was born May 12, 1943 and was a son of the late Melvin M. and Geneva Moore. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Fowler; and brother, Stephen Moore.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and fought in the Vietnam War. He was a retired conductor for the Rail Road.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, Kellie Paynter of Madison and Kimberly Green of Bob White; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
