Mildred Thacker, 89, of Branchland, WV passed away Thursday January 18, 2018 at home. She was born January 6, 1929 in Logan, WV, a daughter of the late Turner and Berdie Workman Dingess.
She was preceded in death by six children, Laura Dean, Myrtle Miller, David Thacker, Charles Thacker, Kenneth Thacker and Ricky Thacker; five siblings, Lynard Dingess, Evie Lou Baughman, Tom Dingess, Liz Dingess, and Madelinn Booth.
She is survived by two children, Howard Thacker and Joan Cox; four siblings, Ida Stinson, Joy Stinson, Gene Dingess, Betty Henninger; one special grandson that she raised Jake “Pete” Thacker; 19 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great great grandson, Jaxon Thacker.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Sunday January 21, 2018 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV with George Dial officiating. Burial will follow in Thacker Cemetery, Branchland, WV.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
