Monnie Dorene Linville Adkins

Monnie Dorene Linville Adkins (Sweetie Pie), 77 of Ranger, WV formerly of Palermo, WV went to be with Jesus on Sunday December 27, 2015 at home after a long illness. She was born November 12, 1938 a daughter of the late Kermit and Ada Linville. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Dottie Cummings, Lora Mae Chambers, and Doris Linville; two brothers Maxwell Linville and Darris Linville.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Ranger United Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years and 3 days Junior Adkins of Ranger, WV; her children, Bill (Linda) Linville of Hamlin, WV, Rocky (Valerie) Adkins of Ranger, WV, Dennis (Amanda) Adkins of Ranger, WV, and Santana (Chuck) Napier of Wayne, WV; one sister Ida Mae Adkins of Lesage, WV; ten grandchildren, eight grandchildren; special friend Amanda Jenkins; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday December 30, 2015 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV with K. D. Bragg and Ralph E. Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at Walter Sanders Cemetery, Ranger, WV.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service on Wednesday.
