Myrtle Christine “Preston” Elswick went home to be with our Lord on August 28, 2021.
She was born January 1, 1934. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Myrtle was loved by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years Leonard Edward Elswick; daughter Charlotte Cathrine Bradford; granddaughter Shelley Christine Moore; two sisters Lorenia Campbell of Midway , WV and Geniva Snyder of Delaware, Ohio; brother William Albert “Bill Buck” Preston of Delaware, Ohio; and her loving parents Victor Preston and Olga VanHoose Preston of Delaware, Ohio.
Myrtle is survived by her daughter, Tammy Jane (Clovis) Kinser of Troutman, NC; grandson, Herbert Edward Vint Jr.; granddaughter, Aheshea Dawn Kinser of Monroe, NC; great grandson, Roger Dean Moore III of Barrett, WV; two great granddaughters, Peyton Leigh and Saylor Grace Presson both of Monroe, NC; five sisters-in-law, Jacquline “Jackie” Preston of Delaware, Ohio, Linda Blair of Gordon, WV, Ann Lyons of Mason, WV, Susie Pridemore of Bob White, WV and Drema Rash of Wharton, WV.
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2021 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville with Rev. Scotty Elswick officiating. Burial will follow in Family Gardens, Madison, WV.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
