Nada Sue Woodie

December 3, 1953 — March 13, 2025

Nada Sue Woodie (Moore), 71 of Foster, West Virginia entered her heavenly home on March 13, 2025. She was born on December 3, 1953 to the late John and Millie Moore. While attending Van High School, she met her high school sweetheart, Larry Woodie. They were married during the Spring of Nada’s senior year of high school, and Larry’s Air Force career took them to California. They would eventually return to West Virginia where they would build their family, careers, and faith in Christ.

They were married 54 years and were blessed with three daughters. Nada had a real estate career that spanned over 30 years. She had a natural talent for meeting people and helping them find or sell a home. She had a passion for helping others, cooking and trying new recipes.

Nada loved to serve her community. She was a dedicated member of Bible Baptist Church of Danville, Madison Rotary Club, and a previous Board of Director member of the Boone Memorial Hospital.

She and Larry looked forward to growing a garden and canning together in the summer. They enjoyed spending time at their cabin in Summersville riding their boat and jet skis. She loved hosting the family at their lake home.

Nada was a strong and determined businesswoman who embraced every challenge. Many who knew her in the community would often share how she helped them with advice or transactions related to real estate. These often resulted in lasting friendships. She will be deeply missed by so many in her community.

Nada is survived by her husband Larry, brothers Wayne Moore (Debbie) of Madison, West Virginia, Randy Moore (Sandra) of Alderson, West Virginia and twin sister Vada Adkins (Buck) of Hinton, West Virginia, daughters Kimberly Cregger (Bryan) of Savannah, Georgia, Jessica Rulli (Denny) of Marysville, Michigan, and Heather Harper (Eric) of Danville, West Virginia, and seven outstanding and loving grandchildren: Mason, Weston, Lyla, Lauren, Ivory, Lucy, and Emmylou and many nieces and nephews.

The family welcomes family and friends on Sunday, March 16th from 1:00pm – 3:00pm at Handley Funeral Home and a celebration of life service to follow at 3:00pm. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens on Low Gap road.

Donations may be made in her honor to the missionary fund at Bible Baptist Church of Danville, 681 4th Street, Danville WV 25053.
