Nadine Burgess, 85, of West Hamlin went to be home with the Lord after a long illness on September 16, 2022 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Nadine was born on October 4, 1936 to the late Dell & Lillian Hager. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and Aunt to her family. Her children and grandchildren were the most precious possessions in her life. She was a hard worker and a friend to everyone.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Burgess; her son Gene Burgess; brothers, Howard, Carl and Franklin Hager; sisters, Pauline Bell and Judy Angel.
She is survived by her daughter, LaDonna (Paul) McClure of West Hamlin; son Rocky Burgess of West Hamlin; grandchildren, Megan (Thomas) Brumfield, Kameron Burgess, Blake Burgess, and Lilly Burgess; great grandchildren, Tristan and Phoenix; brothers, Fred (Jean) Hager, Bill (Janet) Hager both of Ohio, and George Hager of Danville, WV; sisters, Christine Pauley and Sandra Wilburn both of Julian WV; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 20,2022 at Handley Funeral Home in Hamlin WV with Pastor Lonnie Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memory Gardens, Hamlin WV.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
