Nadine Patricia Price, better known as Trish, left for her heavenly home Friday, February 7th, 2025.
Trish was born to the late Margie and Garland Mullins on November 19, 1949. She began her school years at Carver Grade for first grade, which she always told everyone was still segregated in the late 50’s and was basically a one room schoolhouse with all different ages and grades. She then moved to Madison Grade in second grade on, and then attended Scott High School where she was a member of the band and then graduated from Scott High School in 1967. After school she worked for Pete Lilly’s Insurance, Pete Hendrix, Boone County Sheriff’s Department, Southern Appalachian Coal Company, and New York Life Insurance Company where she retired after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007. She would say “I have cancer, cancer don’t have me!” She was a survivor! Trish was a name everyone knew! When she was well and not struggling with her short-term memory loss, she was a part of EVERYTHING! She was Citizen of the year, a member of Rev Up Madison, Rotary President, BMH Auxiliary, an avid member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church, now New Vision Baptist Church, where she loved attending and singing in the choir where she was appointed Mother of the Church on February 2, 2025, just to name a few. She was always willing to help anyone that would reach out to her in any way she could. Some would call her the unofficial mayor of Madison, and some say if Madison had a Queen, it would have been Trish. She cherished her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and any time she could spend with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents Margie & Garland Mullins, sister Etta Woods, brother Billy Saunders.
Left to cherish her legacy are:
Daughters: Erica and son in law Patrick Dues, Erin White, and fiancé JT Long.
Grandchildren: Trista Garland Price, Patricia Jordan and husband Shane Huhn.
Bonus Grandkids: Kaylee, Landon, and Piper Long & Elijah Mullins
Great Grandchildren: Tristin Bryce Thompson, Elizabeth Peyton Burton, Scarlett Gray Huhn, & Adelyn Ryan Price. Brothers and Sisters: Connie Brenneman, Judy & Nate Lyons, Ronald & Christi Mullins, James “Pudgie” & Blanca Mullins, Sandra Mullins, Pamela & Kennith Rogers.
