Page Bender Jr. (Junior)

January 2, 1950 — June 20, 2013

Page Bender Jr. (Junior), 63, of Danville went home to be with the Lord after a long battle of illness on Thursday, June 20, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Page and Annie Bender; his granddaughter, Amanda Paige Harless; his brothers, Edwin Bender, Ronald Bender and Donald Bender; his sisters, Lydia Phillips Hass and Louise Porter; his father and mother-in-law, Jimmy and Ethel Ann Queen; and his brother-in-law, Timmy Queen.

Junior worked as a coal miner for 20 plus years. He was an amazing husband that lived every day of his life for his wife Diana. Junior was a loving father that loved spending quality time with his girls. He was a grandpa that loved his grandchildren unconditionally. He was a brother that loved sharing laughs with his family. Junior’s favorite past times through the years was hunting, fishing, bowling, watching his grandchildren play ball and relaxing with his wife Diana at home. Junior started every day off with gravy and biscuits, a hot cup of coffee and setting in the recliner looking out his front door. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 41 years, Diana Jean Bender; his three daughters, Sandy and D.A. Harless of Danville, Cindy and Timmy Jeffrey of Camp Creek and Jenni and Shannon Webb of Danville; three grandchildren, Logan Webb, Alli Harless and Hunter Jeffrey; two step-grandchildren, Nich & Jill Jeffrey; three step-great-grandchildren, Logan Jeffrey, Kaylee Jeffrey and Jonathan Jeffrey; five brothers that include Mac Bender of Danville, Clarence and Clara Bender of Foster, Bob and Gloria Bender of Big Ugly, Kermit and Sherry Bender of Big Ugly and Vernon and Donna Bender of Foster; two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Ray Queen of Six Mile and Ronald Porter of West Hamlin; a very special great niece, Bridget Arbaugh; and a host of family and friends.
