Patricia Ann (Pat) Jarrell, born August 17, 1945, to Jesse and Hazel Thompson, departed this life and began her eternal life in Heaven on April 12, 2022. She was surrounded by her loved ones.
Pat was devoted to her family and leaves behind three daughters, Sandy Jo (Dexter) Starcher, Francie Diane (Jason) Stratton, and JoAnna Lee (Ronnie) Bias; four granddaughters, Kassie Nicole Ball, Emily Caitlyn (Steven) Young, BryAnna Alexis Fauber, and Bailee Brielle Stratton; and five great grandchildren, Braddix Owen and Sutton Cait Lambert, and Araelynn Mae, Madden Blake and Bowen Riley Young. Pat also leaves behind her dear sister and best friend, Diane (James) Breedlove; her baby brother John (Sherry) Thompson; four nephews; and a niece. Last, but not least, Pat leaves behind her two life-long friends, Betty Jo Webb Dickson and Sandra Walls Kincaid; and all of her church family.
Pat was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and served as a member of Ladies Helping Hands. Her illness may have robbed her of the ability to stand in the loft and lift her voice in song, but it never robbed her of the desire to praise and worship her Lord and Saviour. She is once again able to stand and sing! Glory to God!!
We would like to thank the staff of Boone Memorial Hospital for the extraordinary care they provided her in her last hours, and for the compassion they extended to us, her family. We’d also like to thank Caitlyn’s coworkers, who assumed care of her patients so that she could be present as her grandmother passed. Your kindness did not go unnoticed, and it will not be forgotten.
Please, when you think of Pat, remember the example she set as a Christian, as a mother, a grandmother, a sister…
A private graveside service will be held for family. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Ladies Helping Hands of Bible Baptist Church.
