Patricia Ann "Pat" Wheatley

Patricia Ann “Pat” Wheatley, 71, of Chapmanville, WV passed away February 24, 2016 at Logan Regional Medical Center after a long illness.

She was born August 16, 1944 in Maryland and was a member of Manila Church of Christ for more than 30 years. She enjoyed singing in the choir during the early years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Lee and Ruth Irene Raff, brothers, Robert Lee Raff and Paul Douglas Raff, sister, Gloria Jean (Donald) Skaggs, and brother-in-law Tiny Gartin.
Pat was married to Virgil Dell “Buddy” Wheatley for 51 years. They grew up together and enjoyed the joys of parenthood and life by each other’s side.

Pat had such unconditional love for her family that she gave new meaning to the term.

She is survived by her husband,Virgil Dell Wheatley; children, Michael Anthony (Diane) Wheatley, Lisa Ann (Robert) Green, Brandy Lynne Hughes and Virgil Ray (Jill Drumm) Wheatley; grandchildren, Michael Joseph Wheatley, Holli Wheatley, Rachel Leanne Shaner, Nathan Ray Shaner, Cameron Lee Green, Lexus Gabreil Hughes, Chancellor Monroe Hughes, and Raylyn Rachelle Wheatley; sister, Deborah Ann (Jerry) Marcum; and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews.

Pat will be forever missed and loved by all.

Funeral service will be 1p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Manila Church of Christ, Dog Fork Road, Chapmanville. Burial will follow in Wheatley-Ellis Cemetery, Beechwood Road, Rt. 119 Chapmanville.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the church.
