Paul Raymond Jones, 70, of Alkol passed away July 14, 2015 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston after a long battle of terminal illness.
He was born June 3, 1945 and was a son of the late Boyd and Opal Jones, his sister, Louis Ann Jones, his brothers, Howell Jones, Douglas(Doug) Jones, Charlie (Fatty) Jones, Johnny Jones, and Tommy "Cat" Jones.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a retired coal miner and a member of UMWA and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He loved his church and was a member of Sycamore Grove Missionary Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Elaine Jones; his daughter, Beth (Russell) Miller of Alkol; granddaughters, Moregan Kathleen (Zachary) Huffman, Elissa Danielle (Danny) Price and Kately Thaxton; sisters, Lyda (Weldon) Barker of Foster, Peggy (Gary) Setser of Wharton and Pam (Ray) Gillenwater of Madison; and brother, Roger (Donna) Jones of Danville.

Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 18 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Tony Searls and Gene Pauley officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery, Alkol.
