Perry "Steve" Stephen Cabell

Perry Stephen Cabell 67 of Foster, WV went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Esther Cabell and a grandson, Stephen Ray Duffey. Steve is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Cathy, two daughters; Deb (Tim) Duffey and Buffy (Brett) Kuhn, four grandchildren; Kirsten and Abby Duffey and Bretta and Nathan Kuhn, his brother; Dave (Elaine) Cabell and his mother –in-law, Brittie Miller. He was a member of the Rock Creek Church of Christ where he served as an elder for 15 years. Steve was an avid Mountaineer fan and looked forward to watching them every Saturday. His pride and joy was watching his grandson play baseball and basketball. Steve was a retired coal miner with 30 years of service and a member of the United Mine Workers. Steve was currently employed by the Boone County Commission. Steve has left an enduring legacy as a Christian and as a man. Working for the Lord was his most important job. He left an example that his family and friends can remember with pride and love. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2012 Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Kevin Trivett and L.D. Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park, Danville. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
