Polly Wallace Thompson

Polly Wallace Thompson, 95, of Akol, WV passed away June 29, 2023.

She was born April 5, 1928, a daughter of the late James Arthur and Elvira Branham Wallace.  She was the wife of the late Robert Lee Thompson.  She was also preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters; and one granddaughter, Susan Thompson Bess.

She was a member of Beech Grove Church.

She is survived by children, Jacqueline (Ken) Overstreet, Robert (Debbie) Thompson, Jerry (Shirley) Thompson, David (Judy) Thompson, and Anthony Thompson; grandchildren, Johnny Schoolcraft, Matthew (Laura) Schoolcraft, Carolyn (Wes) Shannon, Joseph (Kandace) Thompson, Jeremy (Jenn) Thompson, Jonathan (Kristen) Thompson, Lee Anne Thompson, and Tyler (Madison) Thompson; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Chase, Zack, Gabriel, Eleana, Ian, Carlie, Chris, Acylyn, Aurora, Gavin, Lyric, Zoey, Addi, Bella and Eliza; and one brother, John P. "J.P."(Gaye) Wallace of Ohio.

Service will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2023 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with Rev. Joe Lane and Harley Egnor officiating.  Burial will follow in Mays Cemetery, Yawkey, WV.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Monday until service time at the funeral home.
