Roy Edward Douglas Jr

Roy Edward Douglas Jr., 81, of Peytona, WV passed away September 19, 2024 at his home. 

He was born February 28, 1943 to the late Roy E. Douglas Sr. and Emma Douglas. He was also preceded in death by his spouse Deborah Douglas; first wife Judith Fay Songer Douglas; grandparents grandma and grandpa Douglas; sister Glema Mallahan; and grandchild Brian Trail. 

He is survived by his daughters, Amy Michelle (Brian) Trail of York, SC and Kimberly Dawn McCoy of York, SC; stepdaughter, Christina Harrison of Barboursville WV; son, Jeffrey Todd Douglas of Peytona WV; stepson, Joe Harrison of Peytona, WV; brother, John Douglas of Marion, IN; sister Sharon Buckley of Oregon, OH; grandchildren, Heather (Lance) Davis, Brian (Lauren) Trail, McKenzie Trail, Andrew (Heather) Branham, Courtney (Colin) Funderburk, Colin McCoy, Courtney Harrison, Samantha (Matthew) Dolan, Olivia (Cameron) Scarberry; great-grandchildren Brentley West, Brantley, Paisley, and Oaklynn Davis, Bella and Emery Trail, Braiden Trail, Tallie, Taylor, Tinsley and Teagan Branham, Magnolia Dolan, Mason Myers and Delaney Scarberry; nieces, Stacy Clark, Jennie, Jodi, Johnny and Ashley; and nephews, Mark Mallahan, Heath and Jason Buckley. 

He was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ and was a hunter and sportsman. He was devoted to his family.

Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 24 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with John Steele officiating. 

Visitation one hour prior to the service.
