Raymond Ezra "Rat" Adkins

Raymond Ezra "Rat" Adkins 82, of Alkol, WV died September 20, 2014. He was born July 3, 1932 a son of the late Manville and Ellie Adkins. He was a retired from E F Houserman Co. as a maintenance worker, and he was baptized on September 20, 2014 at the South Charleston Church of Christ just before his passing. He was also preceded in death by a son Randy Adkins; brothers Ed and Junior Adkins; and sisters Ermal Hager and Lennie Spurlock.

He is survived by his wife Freeda Hager Adkins; four children, Becky (Eddie) Cook, Patty (David) Zilich, Debria Adkins (Mike), and Billy (Robin) Adkins; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; four half brothers, Archie Adkins, Ernie Adkins,Tommy Adkins and Billy Cooper; two half sisters, Irene Coleman, and Susie Cooper; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday September 23, 2014 at the Bear Branch Church of Christ with Brian Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Barker Cemetery, Spurlockville. Friends may call one hour prior to service on Tuesday.
