Raymond Jarrell Adkins

Raymond Jarrell Adkins 75 of Branchland, WV died at home August 24, 2024 with family present. He was born April 20, 1949 a son of the late Raymond and Mary Smith Adkins. He was also preceded in death by two sisters; Leona Ferguson and Loretta Stewart; son Neal Adkins Sr.; son-in-law Richard Ray Holton; daughter Lucy Adkins, and recently by son Anthony (Picky) Adkins.

He is survived by his wife Betty Jane Adkins; son Raymond (RJ) Adkins; daughters Marcie Holton and Jessie Adkins; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters Linda (Nuke) Lester, Lois (Johnny) Courts and Lorelei (Scott) Sanders; brothers-in-law Elmer Vance, and David Vance and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday August 27, 2024 at the family home on Dean Ridge Branchland with Johnny Courts and David Vance officiating. Burial will follow at the Adkins Family Cemetery in Branchland. Visitation will be at the family home after 6 PM on Monday. McGhee-Handley Funeral Home West Hamlin is assisting the Adkins family.
