Rebecca Jane Alkire

Rebecca Jane Alkire born March 22, 1954 of 109 Mable Lane, Twilight WV.

She entered into  the heavenly gates on January 28, 2024 at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY along with her son Jamie Toler and daughter Tracey Toler Lambert by her side.

She was the daughter of Warner E and Bertha M. Mooney both from Twilight.  Along with her brothers and son Cray Toler who she missed dearly and late husband Bud Glen Alkire.

Rebecca was an amazing lady who loved her church and God.   Her daily walk with God shined in her face.  She brightened up the room when she entered.   She was loved by so many who knew her.  She loved her time with her grandson Brandon drawing and talking.

She is survived by her son, Jamie Toler; daughter, Tracy Toler Lambert; daughter in law, Delena Hastings Toler; sisters, Joyce Hamilton and Barbara Wilson; grandchildren, Brandon M. Lambert Bluefield Police Department, Bluefield, WV and Joyce Leann Tober, North Carolina; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Rebecca will be missed by many.  Gone but never forgotten.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2024 Handley Funeral Home, Danville WV with Shelia Workman officiating.   Burial will follow in Mid Ferrell Cemetery, Bandytown, WV.  

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
