Reldo Washingon Miller

September 13, 1926 — January 3, 2016

Reldo Washington Miller of Lick Creek Road, Danville passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Randel and Ronald Miller; three sisters, Junie May, Ruth Chapman and Alma Sansom; and three brothers, Homer, Elmer and Sebert Miller.

He was born September 13, 1926 and was a son of Columbus and Lula Mae Miller. He was a coal miner and also a timberman when he was younger. He worked for Sam Beaver cutting trees. He worked at Westmoreland Mines, Patriot, ARMCO, Ferrell and for Derocis Brothers driving a coal truck. He lived at Lick Creek near Danville and lived at Julian, WV for five years. He was a member of Lick Creek Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Esta; two sons, Roger Miller and Lester and Dottie Miller all of Danville; three grandsons, Randel, Ronald and Justin Miller; three granddaughters, Janna, Hannah and Breanna; one great-grandson, Colton; and one brother, Woodrow and Pauline Miller of St. Albans.

Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Eugene Spurlock officiating. Burial will follow in Family Gardens, Madison.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
