Cathy Renee Britt

Cathy Renee Britt, 57, of Danville, WV went home to be with her Lord on November 4, 2023.

Cathy was born on Oct. 15, 1966, in Chicago Illinois to JoAnn Linville Atkins and Cecil Dollen. She was preceded in death by her parents and paternal grandparents, Lottie Dollen Colegrove and Lee Dollen; and maternal grandparents, Georgia Brown Linville and Oather Linville.

Cathy was a caring, kind, fun-loving individual. She had a passion for life and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Cathy had a close bond with her son, Justen Britt of Danville, and cherished her role as a Nana to Sierra Pauley, Carsen Britt, and Bentley Britt. She also had a special place in her heart for her sister, Janet Bowling (Robert) of Danville and Sarah Sanchez of Granada Hills, CA; her brother Michael Dollen (Juanita) of Adams Wisconsin. Cathy was a beloved Aunt to her nieces, Jessica Cabell and Morgan Castle and nephews Jason Dollen and David Bowling. She leaves behind a host of great nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

In her career Cathy worked as a waitress and bartender; dedicating her life to serving others until she became disabled. She was known for her warm friendly personality, making everyone feel welcome wherever she worked. Cathy attended Fountain of Life Worship Center for a time where she found solace and community. Outside of work Cathy enjoyed her cat, Cuddles, watching movies and playing with her grandchildren. These were moments that brought her joy and happiness. Cathy Renee Britt will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of her family and friends.

A Memorial service will be held at noon on Friday, November 10, at the Fountain of Life Worship Center, Rock Creek, WV.  Handley Funeral Home in Danville is assisting the family.
