Rhoda Hampton, 85, of Julian WV passed away at the Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, WV after a short illness on Wednesday, August 17, 2016.
Born on April 1, 1931 in Inez, KY she was the daughter of Leif and Angie Mollett. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; son, Robert (Bobby); daughter, Kimberly Kay and two brothers.
Those remaining to cherish her memory son, Richard (Peggy) of Beckley, WV, she was proud “Ganny” to three grandchildren, Stephanie LaFauci, Robin Pennington, and Richard Hampton; six great grandchildren, Cole, Luke and Gage Pennington, Brandon and Karlie LaFauci and Branson Hampton; daughter -in-law Judith Hampton; sisters-in-law, Patty Kinser, Nell Hampton and Lois Hart; brother-in-law Paul Hampton.
Rhoda was a resident of Wharton, WV many years and attended the Barrett Church of Nazarene, the past seven years she attended the Madison Baptist Church. She leaves behind many friends.
Friends may gather with the family Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 1 to 3p.m. Handley Funeral Home, Danville WV. Services will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Jim Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.
