Richard Paul Kuhn, 71, of Foster, WV went to his eternal resting place after a long illness on February 7, 2013 at Boone Memorial Hospital, Madison.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ida Kuhn and George and Lora Gregory; and a brother, Lorenza Kuhn.
He is survived by his wife, Martha; daughters, LaDonna (Barry) Tackett, Rita Smoot and Lora (Timmy) Price; son, Richie (Marsha)Kuhn; grandchildren, Brianna (Brandon) Atkins, Savannah Price, Brittany (Joel) Bacchus, Adam Price, Dillon Smoot and Kady Kuhn; great-grandchildren, Eliza Bacchus, Cooper Atkins and Reed Bacchus. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Mary McDonaldson, Glen Kuhn, Sue Payne and Bernice Holstein; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and family.
Richard was a member of the Foster Church of Christ. He was also the host of the Annual Kuhn Pig Roast. He retired from Madison Mines and was owner operator of Kuhn Excavating.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 11 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Nate Dolin officiating. Burial will follow in Cooper Cemetery, Foster.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
