Richard “Dick” McNeely, 72, of Blair born October 18,1944 went to be with our Heavenly Father on June 18, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Maudie McNeely; and one brother, “Weezie”.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Judy McNeely; two brothers, Tom and Scott both of Blair; one daughter, Paula (Daniel) Wells of Sissonville; son, Ritch (Missy) McNeely of Jeffrey; two grandchildren, Ashley Frye of Chapmanville and Ricky McNeely of Charleston; three great-grandchildren, Johnna and Jaxon Frye of Chapmanville and Raevyn McNeely of Charleston; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He worked thirty plus years at Guyan Machinery and also at Superior Carriers before retiring. He was a member and deacon of Bias’ Branch Freewill Baptist Church. Throughout his life he had a passion for hunting, fishing, gardening and four-wheeling especially with his grandkids and great-grandkids.
Service will be 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 21 at Bias’ Branch Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Eldridge officiating.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church prior to the service.
