Richard Allen Wheatley

Richard Allen Wheatley, 62, of Danville, WV passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston.
He was born May 26, 1951 and was a son of the late Wilson and Rose Cook Wheatley. He was also preceded in death by brothers, George Wheatley and Jerry Vance; and sister, Deborah Taylor.
He was a coal miner and a member of the UMWA.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Wheatley; daughters, Melissa Wheatley and Russell Weaver and Angela and Ricky Stollings; grandson, Allen Stollings; and sisters, Donna Willis and JoAnn Butcher.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with David May officiating. Burial will follow in Wheatley Cemetery at Hurricane Branch, Chapmanville, WV.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
