Ricky David Hudson

Ricky David Hudson, 60, of Kanawha City, WV sadly departed this life on November 25, 2017 at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was born December 11, 1956 in High Coal, WV and was a son of the late Earl and Louise Hudson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Hudson.

He was a 1975 graduate of Sherman High School and was a retired coal miner. He was a fun loving witty person who had many friends. He enjoyed riding his side by side and loved sports.

Rick is survived by son, Nick Hudson and one granddaughter, Natalee Delray; daughter, Tifany Vanater and her husband Ryan and five grandsons, Duce, Hudson, Ledger, Easton, and Liam. He is also survived by siblings, Joyce Elswick, Jeannie Elswick (Johnny), Mary Lou Burdette (Danny), Diane Doss (Delbert), Earl Hudson (Deloris), Pam Vickers (Larry), Mike Hudson (Helen), and Lisa Garten; many niceces and nephews; and special friends, Paul Maynard, Sherry Gore Williams, and Dean Dickens.

A farewell service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, November 28 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville.
