Robert Ray Belcher

Bobby Belcher, 82, of Wharton WV passed away September 22, 2024. He was born on February 28, 1942, in Bald Knob WV.

Bobby was an avid gardener, hunter, outdoorsman and gun enthusiast. He was a US Army Veteran and a retired coal miner. He loved his wife, his friends and family, and his dog and tried until his last day to bestow upon family and friends any knowledge of survival that he could share. Bobby and his wife, Reita, were married February 7, 1964, and were together until August 2020 when she succumbed to cancer. The two spent many a day driving through the woods, appreciating what nature has to offer. The Lord alone knows what adventures await them now that they are reunited for eternity. 

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Kathleen Belcher, and brothers Randy and Eddie. He leaves behind his daughter Beth and her husband John of Abbeville AL, his son Robert Jr and his wife Wendy of Hurricane WV, and his daughter Lora and her partner Mike of Belle WV, along with five very special grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and his very faithful companion, Itty Bitty.

He is also survived by brothers Teddy of Morganton NC, Phillip of Branchland WV, Sammy of Fairdale WV and sister Kay Gore of Leesburg FL. 

The family would like to thank Paul, Kay, and Matt Vance, Scotty Green, Tony and Sheila Oxford, and Gail Price for being there when we couldn't. No words can express how much we appreciate each of you.
