Robert Taylor Moore

March 14, 1971 — January 4, 2024

Bim, WV

Robert Taylor "Tater" Moore, 52, of Bim, WV went home to be with his Lord & Savior on January 4, 2024. He was born March 14, 1971 to the late Edgar "Jr" & Diana Moore of Bim, WV. He was preceded in death by his Dad on May 10, 2023; his grandparents, James & Marcelene Kerns and Taylor & Ethel Moore.

He was a former member of the Van & Wharton Vol. Fire Departments and an EMT. Rob worked many different jobs, starting at the family businesses; Rob's Sporting Goods & Sheryl's Carryout. After graduating from Van High School in 1989, he worked at Summitville Tile & Hanes in Morganton, NC. He worked at Jupiter Coal & several other area mines: driving coal trucks, installing metal doors with his Dad, welding & using torches, and running various pieces of equipment. But most of all he liked working for himself…he loved junkin'! We can all remember seeing him anywhere, dragging his haul trailer and talking with everybody. He enjoyed spending time with his family & friends, fishing, working on vehicles, but the thing "Tater" enjoyed most was helping others & would give anybody the shirt off his back! He never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone. So many times he's given people a place to stay, a ride, money, food, or just a shoulder to cry on. Some of his most precious times were spent with the youth at Cazy Freewill Baptist Church, singing with them & driving the church van. He loved good conversation & there was nothing better than a good joke. You couldn't help but notice him always praying over his food each time he ate. Rob's witty sense of humor was unmatched. I'm sure many of you are remembering something he said or done right now.

He leaves behind his daughters, Emily (Josh) Fuller and Bethany Moore (Izayuh Littin), his son, Landon Moore, his daughter, Kayleigh White, and a grandson, Jaylor Dean, due March 25th; his mom, Diana Moore, his sister, Sheryl (Jerry) Beard, his niece & nephew, Leah & Dalton Kessinger, and his faithful little companion, LuLu; also a host of many special friends, cousins, and extended family members.

A special thank you to all those who came to visit, called, or sent prayers.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you write down anything you'd like to share about Rob and leave in the basket at the funeral home or kindly deliver to one of the family members.
