Robert "Bob" Shreve, 81, of Danville passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2013.
He was born in 1931 and was a lifelong resident of Boone County and was a son of the late Harry and Elizabeth Jarrell Shreve.
Bob married Nancy Ramey on June 7, 1951. He was a Mason. After graduating from Scott High School, Bob went to work for Hope Gas Company where he worked for 20 years. He later owned his own business and later went to work for Southern Appalachian Coal Company until his retirement.
Left to cherish his memory is his brother, Bill Shreve and sister-in-law Carol; daughter, Diania Bryant and son-in-law Gary; sons, Steve Shreve and daughter-in-law Doreen and David Shreve; grandchildren, Gary Allen Bryant, Sherry Lee Ball, Mary Hager, Robert Steven Shreve and Heather Walters; great-grandchildren, Haley, Megahn, Gracie, Allissa, Morgan and Luke; and brother-in-law, Gus Ramey.

A tribute to the life of Robert will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Madison Funeral Home, West Madison with the Rev. Ray Barker officiating. Burial will follow in Shreve Family Cemetery, Low Gap.
