Roberta Dyer

Roberta Fay Dyer, 77, of Ranger, WV died Friday, October 27, 2017. She was born November 10, 1939, a daughter of the late Rev. Robert and Goldie Adkins. She was retired from Victoreen Instruments after 21 years. She was preceded in death by Deloris St. Clair, Diana Taylor, Thelma Chapman, Cecil Adkins and Sue Ellen Adkins. She is a Cancer survivor for 45 years. She was a Relay For Life participant for 5 years in her county.
She is the beloved wife of Odell Dyer; mother of Lawrence C, Adkins (Joann), Pamela L. Spence (Timothy), Odell Dyer Jr. (Alice); beloved grandmother of Christopher Lawrence Adkins (Toni), Carrie Beth Cox (Darren), James Russell Cox(Jenna); beloved great grandmother of Noah, Michael, Sarah, Andrew, Larryn, Zachary, Kensley, and a host of step grandchildren and great grandchildren; a dear sister to Ruth Davis, Boyd Adkins, Robert Adkins, Hensley Adkins, Kendall Adkins and Wendall Adkins. She has a host of nieces and nephews, special sister and brother-in-laws. The family want to give their sincere thanks to the Hospice of Huntington for all the love, support and care.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday October 30, 2017 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV. The burial will be in the Warrick Cemetery, Branchland, WV. A visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm Sunday at the funeral home. Condolences can be left at www.handleyfh.com
