Roberta Elswick

ROBERTA  ANN  FERRELL  ELSWICK, 66, of West Hamlin, WV, died May 24 in Cornerstone Hospital after a long illness. She was born on January 26, 1957. She was the daughter of the late Clate ‘Jack’ and Ruby Ferrell. She was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Hattie (Tom) Burke of Chicago, IL.

She is survived by her loving husband Raymond Elswick of West Hamlin, WV, and three brothers, Arthur (Joann) Ferrell of Barboursville, WV, Jack (Carla) Ferrell of Salt Rock, WV, Jim Ferrell of Barboursville, WV, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She was a very avid reader all of her life and always loved a good book. She loved the old time classic movies and enjoyed the original series of Star Trek. She graduated from Barboursville High School and Huntington School of Beauty Culture. She was a member of the Midkiff United Methodist Church.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. on May 30 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV, by her pastor Elder Paul Stevens and Elder David Cardwell. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery, Salt Rock, WV.  Visitation will be one hour before service at the funeral home.
