Rocferd Lee Adkins

Rocferd Lee Adkins, 53 of Ranger, WV went home to Jesus on February 21, 2016. He died peacefully in his sleep at home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Monnie Dorene Adkins; grandparents, Aster and Mollie Adkins, and Kermit and Ada Linville. He was a member of Ranger Baptist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Germany.

He is survived by his wife Valerie Wiley Adkins; his father Junior A. Adkins; two children, Santana (Chuck) Napier of Wayne, WV, and Brandi (Daniel) Lambert of Ranger, WV; two brothers, Bill (Linda) Linville of Hamlin, WV, and Dennis Adkins of Ranger, WV; seven grandchildren, David, James, and Linda Lambert, Trevian and Kacey Napier, and Katie and Kayla Ferguson; three nieces, two nephews, and many cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, February 26, 2016 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV with David Boone Lambert officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 111 of Hamlin, WV in Sanders Cemetery, Ranger, WV.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service on Friday.
