Roger Dewayne Lovejoy, 72, of Uneeda, WV passed away November 15, 2022.
He was born on May 14, 1950, to Edgar and Georgia Lovejoy. He was preceded in death by both his parents; and brother Charles Lovejoy.
Roger is survived by his brothers, Fred “Ricky” and Anna Lovejoy of Uneeda, WV, Leonard and Rhoda Lovejoy of Nova, Ohio and Eddie Lovejoy of Brunswick, Ohio; sisters, Robin Brister of Everman, TX and Sandy Lovejoy Wilson of Chesterfield, Virginia; and two daughters, Melinda “Mindy” Tomblin of Chapmanville, WV and Danielle Browning of Logan, WV.
Roger was a graduate of Scott High School in 1968 of Madison, WV. He was a hardworking and dedicated coal miner for 37 years. Roger loved being outdoors. He loved camping and fishing.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Boone Memorial Hospital staff and CAMC Memorial Hospice Care.
There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 18 at Memory Gardens located on Low Gap Road, Madison, WV with Michael Green officiating. Funeral procession will leave Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m.
