Roger Dale Mills 73 of Madison, WV passed away October 10, 2018 after a lengthy illness.
Roger was born on December 22, 1944 to the late Archie Mills and Clara Virginia Mills. He was preceded in death by his sister Linda Mills, brothers Harold Keith Mills and Bennie Joe Mills.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Emma Jean Blake Mills, sons; Roger Dale Mills Jr., Harold Keith Mills, and Michael Shane Mills all of Madison, grandchildren; Kinsley (Roger)Allen of Bob White, and Allison Nicole Mills of Hometown Putnam County, WV and Brian Keith Mills of Charleston, WV,brothers; Terry Mills and Danny Mills of South Carolina, and a sister, Bonnie (Rick) Prichard of Logan, WV.
Roger loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed the outdoors.
He was a loving husband, father, PaPaw, friend, and above all a man of God who loved his church (Monclo Freewill Baptist Church) and his church family.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2018 Monclo Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Lane officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park, Madison.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV for the care they gave Roger and the Hospice Care in Kanawha County, Melanie Martin and Libby Smith social worker for their care for Roger.
Roger your life was a Blessing to your family and friends, your memory a treasure, we will forever remember you.
