Ronald Lee Sands

Ronald Lee Sands, 67, of Foster, WV passed away Saturday August 19th, 2023. He was born May 21, 1956, in Pineville, WV to Audrey Grace (Adkins) Sands and the late Ronald Gave Sands.

On November 9th he married Teresa (Ferrell) Sands. Ronnie Graduated from Scott High School in Madison, WV. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, camping, and 4-wheeling. He loved to raise vegetables in his garden. He lived at Lynco, WV, Julian WV, and then to Rock Creek, WV. He lived at Rock Creek all the rest of his years. He retired from Boone County Schools as custodian. He worked there for 34 years. He was a member of the Danville Church of Christ and was song leader for many years.

Ronnie is survived by his wife Teresa (Ferrell) Sands, his mother Audrey Grace (Adkins) Sands, his sister Sandra Gaynell (Sands) Bartley, and his nephews Allen and Terry Bartley.

He was preceded in death by his father Ronald Gaye Sands and his sister Joann Ruth Sands.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Handley Funeral Home at Danville WV. Officiating will be Richard Runyon and Allen Barker. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park, Indian Grave Road, Danville, WV

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
