Ronnie Gene Hunt, 55, of Big Ugly Creek, Chapmanville, WV passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV after a long battle with cancer.
He was a retired truck driver of 30 years and a member of the UMWA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgil Hunt of Turtle Creek and Audrey Bentley Hunt of Big Ugly Creek, Chapmanville; brothers, Charles Richard Hunt of Morgantown, William “Bill” Bentley of Big Ugly Creek; sisters, Brenda Hunt Lafferty of Chesapeake and Patricia Hunt Wiley of Danville.
He is survived by his son, Donnie Hunt of Danville, precious granddaughter, Cailee Marie Hunt of Van; mother of his son and lifelong love, Tina Goodwin-Hunt of Chapmanville; brother, Roger (Shirley) Hunt of Oceana; niece, Tammy Hunt Beck of Cornelius, NC; nephew, Ronnie Duane Hunt of Danville; nephew, Gary Wiley and brother-in-law, Lonzo Wiley of Danville; nephews, Charles Richard Hunt II of Morgantown and James Michael (Nicole) Hunt of Boston, MA; sister-in-law, Louise Hunt of Morgantown; and special friend, Donna Vannatter and her daughters, Tonya, Sara and grandson, Eon.
The family would like to thank his wonderful care givers, Lisha Amburgey (employed by Loved Ones) and Amy Sontag. A special thank you to the Smith and Goodwin families, neighbors and friends for their help and love. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Paul Eldridge and James Carr Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park, Danville.
