Rose Marie Green, 65, of Hewett, WV went to be with the Lord September 20, 2018 after a long illness. She was born October 29, 1952 in Madison to the late Virgil and Frances Ellis of Hewett.
She is survived by a daughter; Amy Marie (Dustin) Mayse of Hewett; a son, Robert Lee (Lisa) Green of Madison; brothers, Randy (Patti) Ellis of Whitesville, and Ronald Ellis of Hewett; sister, Lecia Ellis ( Roger Collins) of Hewett; grandchildren, Rachel Shaner, Nathan Shaner, Sarah Mayse and Cameron Gree; many nieces, a nephew, cousins, an aunt, an uncle; and a host of friends.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Roy Ellis of Hewett, Donald (Barbara Ellis) of Hewett, and Carl “Heffer” Ellis of Hewett; and sister, Sherrie (Roy,Jr.) Prince of Quinland.
Rose retired in 2017 from Long John Silvers, where she worked for 17 years. She enjoyed Bingo, camping and spending time with family. She was a member of the Spencer Chapel United Methodist Church.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2018 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville WV with the Rev. Roger McCauley officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
