Rose Marie Lucas, 74, of Branchland, WV, wife of Merle Edward Lucas, passed away at home on March 23, 2018. She was born on July 26, 1943, to the late Frank and Sara Louise Honaker White.
She was preceded in death by her brother Don (Jean Ann) White; sisters Margaret (Kenneth) Clagg and Ruby White.
Rose is survived by her husband of 53 years, their four children, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren: sons, Eddie (Tammy) Lucas, Russell (Dionne) Lucas and Jeffrey Lucas; Daughter Lenora (Sam) Kitts; Grandchildren, Matthew (Jasmin)Lucas, Alexandra (Shane) Bartolomeo, Jacob Lucas, Olivia Dean-Algoe, Taylor Lucas, Seth Lucas, Cole Lucas, Hadlee Lucas and Harper Lucas; great-grandchildren, KaeLeigh Lucas, Addison Lucas and Lucas Forbes. She also leaves behind many more family members and friends who were a big part of her life. The family wishes to thank special friends; Nancy McCallister, Sue Smith and Debbie and Kenny Pennington.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday March 26, 2018 at Handley Funeral Home, Hamlin, WV with Jonah Adkins officiating. The burial will follow in the Branchland Cemetery, Branchland, WV.
A visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm Sunday at the funeral home.
