Roy Holeston

Roy Holeston, 85, of Morrisvale went home to be with the Lord on December 18, 2018 after a long illness.

He was preceded in death by his wife Alice Ryan Holeston; his parents Elmer and Litha Holeston; brothers Edward, Arthur, and Clifford; and sister, Irene.

He was a retired United Mine Worker and an Army Veteran serving in Germany. He attended First Baptist Church of Woodville and Maple Hill Missionary Baptist Churches.

Surviving are his daughter, Regina; son, Timothy; grandson, Brian; and sister, Ruth Stone, all of Morrisvale; and several nieces and nephews.

We want to give special thanks to Susie Adkins who helped care for our loved one.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 22 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Darrell Searls officiating. Burial will follow in Orchard Hills Memory Gardens, Yawkey.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
