Ruby Browning Lee, 94, of Sharples entered her heavenly home on November 12, 2013.
She was born to this Earthly one on August 26, 1919 the daughter of Winfred and Tessie Browning of McConnell. She was an 89 year resident of the Sharples area, and a devout longstanding member of Ball Chapel. Ruby was a retired cook of Logan County Board of Education.
Preceding her in death were four sisters, Pauline, Elizabeth, Lorraine and Rhonda; two brothers, Leslie and Roy Lawton; her husband, Robert Lee Sr. and son, Robert Lee Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, son, James Scott (Suzanne) Lee of Guilford Ct., daughters, Rebecca (Morton) Lane of Romeoville, Illinois, Deborah (James) Thompson of Clothier with whom she made her home and a daughter-in-law, Brenda Lee; 10 grandchildren, Morton (Pat) Lane Jr., Scott (Jennifer) Lee, David (Jen) Lee, Jennifer (Donal) O’brian, Leslie (Thomas) Crisp, Jena Lee, Kasey Thompson Spears, James (Tiffany) Thompson II, Meghan (David) workman, Michelle (Mike) Shew; 25 great-grandchildren, Dakota Lee, Ali Hayes, Brandon, Tanya, Erin, Jacob and Ali Shew, Deanna Lane, Scott Matthew, Jacob and Victoria Lee, Declan and Riley O’brian, Chase Roberts, Haylee Jo Vance, Luca Spears, Peyton, James Thompson III and Lily Thompson, Damian McCormick, Thomas and Alainah Crisp and soon to be David Lee Workman Jr.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Edsel Aleshire, Barry Mines and Bobby Lane officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
