Ruby Gay Lovejoy

Ruby Gay Lovejoy, 84, a long time resident of Gordon, WV went to be with the Lord in Paradise Saturday, October 21, 2017 at her daughters home in Charleston, WV.
She was born on a farm in the mountain of Mud River to the late Emery and Sarah Lovejoy. She was also preceded in death by son, Jimmy Green; three sisters; and two brothers.
She was a member of Gordon Union Church. She will be remembered by her love for the Lord, her love and kindness to others and her incredible giving heart. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.
She is survived by six brothers and three sisters. Also surviving are her children, son, Thomas “Fuzzy” (Rhonda) Green; daughter, Betty (Steve) Beard; grandchildren, Jamie (Andrea) Beard, Mike (Miranda) Beard, Jeff Beard, Jennifer (Josh) Miller, Hope Thomas, Dakota Green, Timmy Green, Patrick Green, Samatha Green, James Daniel Green, and Jaimie (Nathan) Finney; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville with the Rev. Lonnie Lovejoy officiating. Burial will follow in Martha Cemetery, Palermo, WV.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
