Sabra Jean Myers

Sabra Jean Myers, 85, of Seacoal, Jeffery, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 6, 2021, peacefully in her home, surrounded by family. She was born October 7, 1936, in Webster Springs, WV to the late Okie and Bessie Burgess. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband James ‘JR’ Myers, brothers: Jack and Jim Burgess, sisters: Lois Trammell and Hazel Johnson, and son in law Lonzo Wiley.
She attended church faithfully until her health declined.
She is survived by her children: Cathy Campbell, who took excellent care of her up until her passing, Kenny (Bev) Myers of Seacoal, Beverly Wiley of Cox’s Fork, WV, Gregory (Trish) Myers of Chapmanville, WV, Scott (Jennifer) Myers of Seacoal, and her granddaughter that she raised, Casey (Jeff) Ryan also of Seacoal. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren: Chasity, Allen (Laura), Chris, Matt, Kimberly (Mark), Shaina (Edwin), Shawn, Corey (Kayla), Rachel, and Cindy (Zach). She is also survived by her great grandchildren: Gracie, Alissa, Zayne, Avery, Hayley, Carlee, Baylee, Zoey, Gander, Makenna, Grayson, Emmett, Justin, Ellie, Christopher, Emily, Brandon, and Daniel, her great-great grandchildren: Bentley and Wendi, her brother John (Karen) Burgess, and her pets: Sadie and Bruno.
She loved her job at Community Action and worked up until retirement.
Jean loved her family dearly and was the happiest when they were all together.
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 10 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with Ralph Caudill and Paul Little officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens at Low Gap, Madison, WV.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time. Due to Covid-19 please wear a mask when attending the visitation and the service.
