Sallie Edna Neace, 81, of Ranger, WV left this world Saturday, October 26, 2024 at home surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born November 30, 1942 a daughter of the late Russell Lucas and Ella Mae Lucas Sias. She was a member of 14 Mile Church of Christ and lived her life in the service of others. She was also preceded in death by her husband James Ray Neace; step father Letcher Sias; one sister Causetta Barker; One brother Robert Darrell Lucas; and one son-in-law, Marshall Headley.
She is survived by one sister, Dana Afton Yeager (Bill); three sisters-in-laws, Annabel Cyfers (Taylor), Violet Neace (Tom), and Patty Webb (Perry); One son, James Lee Neace (Bobbie); two daughters, Melissa Gay Headley and April Dawn Morrison; eight granddaughters, April Love, Jessica Adkins, Autumn Morrison, Chyanne Morrison, Summer Clark, Chelsea Neace, Rachael Neace and Destinee Neace; three grandsons, Davey Adkins (Christina), Derrick Neace and R.J. Clark; three great grandchildren, Sean White, Greyson and Montana Adkins; and a host of others who felt as if Sallie was a surrogate mom.
The family would like to spend special gratitude to Beverly Wooten, Kelly Clark, Crystal and Adrinna Lambert for all their help and support through this trying time.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday November 2, 2024 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV. The burial will follow in the Peaceful Mountain Cemetery, Ranger, WV. A visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral. Condolences can be left at www.handleyfh.com.
